I am a professional currently living in France. I have a Permanent US greencard and I want to return to the States for family reasons. My preference is to live in the South West region of the USA (NM, UT, NE) .
My professional objective is to work as an Equipement/Process Engineer or as a Manufacturing or Engineering Manager. I have high technical skills and extensive expertise in leadership, technical engineering, Lean Manufacturing, and team management. I therefore seek a challenging position in a company that is environmentally and socially responsible and values improvements in people and project management, equipment installations, productivity, process control, quality and safety.
I currently live in France where I came back in September 2010 for personal reasons. I now can return to the USA and work for Samsung. I have a US green card (Permanent Alien Resident)
My last position was Engineering Manager in Williston VT USA, at Velan Valve. The company produces industrial valves. I managed a team of 16 professionals. I also lead and implemented the company Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing and Best Known Methods Programs.
At IBM, I worked as a Project Manager and Manufacturing Manager . I developed and executed several project plans, negotiated calendar with stakeholders, built Gantt flow charts. I coordinated and prioritized the efforts of Manufacturing, Maintenance, Engineers and Procurement teams. I communicated regularly with sub-contractors and internal team members, ensuring projects stay on schedule and on budget while meeting established design criteria. I improved product design, productivity by effectively using FMEA, PDCA, OEE, SPC and Lean Manufacturing approaches to reduce scrap, cost of ownership, cycle times and defect density. The net cost savings of $2.85 million between 2003 – 2007. I implemented projects on time while achieving desired outcomes and maintaining budget constraints.
I also worked as an Equipment and Process engineer, qualifying RIE, thermal processes (LPCVD and RTCVD) such as thin film (doped and intrinsic Polysilicon, TEOS, Nitride), oxides (dry and wet) and anneal processes. I managed a team of engineers and technicians in Manufacturing support. I was involved in the selection process, purchase, qualification, operation/maintenance and technical improvements (BKM) of diffusion vertical furnaces (TEL, SVG, BTU, ASM, Semitherm) and dry etch platforms like AME 5000 and Centura 5200 used for the fabrication of semiconductors. I wrote all the checklists, maintenance and safety procedures associated with these tools. I was also the IBM site instructor on a 40 hour class that I developed and taught to engineers and technicians working on low or high vacuum systems.
Besides being a Manager, I hold a Project Management certification, a Master degree in Energy Engineering, and a bachelor in Mechanical Engineering. I am fluent in French and English. I have basics in German and Italian.
